Community Revitalization: Rural

Rural communities create the greatest financial challenge for new development. Private_public partnerships can prevail and inspire astonishing projects that create jobs, improve the environment, create economic momentum, while meeting the needs of the public, such as this much needed health care facility, whose replacement eliminated environmental risk to the great lakes, and eliminated blight.​ During this project a 30 Veterans learned new skills in demolition, hazardous material abatement, and medical/commercial construction skills on this turn key project.  Veteran subcontractors, and subcontractors seeking Veteran employees supported Zero Day's role as the development manager and general contractor.
